About Us

What makes us The Right Place for Residential Detox is our multi-dimensional outlook and our ability to individualize treatment and care.  Our facility is privately owned and kept intentionally small, assuring you the sort of personalized care not available at hospitals or larger institutions.

Several core beliefs inform and motivate our processes at The Right Place:

  • We believe our clients suffer from the illness of addiction, not moral deficiencies, and are entitled to be treated with respect and dignity.
  • We believe that our clients must be treated as individuals, must be afforded absolute confidentiality and therefore retain their right to self-determination.
  • We believe in a client-centered, staff team approach and insist upon the highest degree of professional and ethical standards in the provision of all services.
  • We believe chemical dependency, alcoholism and addiction of any sort are treatable disorders. Throughout the detoxification process, we assist our clients to develop the skills and support systems necessary to prevent relapse and to maintain an abstinence-based recovery.
  • We believe in accountability and responsible management, striving for continuous quality improvement in all aspects of our program and operations.

Our medical staff is headed by a M.D., a specialist in the treatment of addiction with many years experience.  Licensed nurses work in shifts ‘round-the-clock so that a medical professional is always on the premises. Our dedicated support staff offer personal compassion coupled with professional care.  We have close working relationships with a number of treatment centers and eagerly maintain communication with those centers whose clients begin their recovery with detoxification at The Right Place.

We have a 12 Step orientation and host 12 Step meetings, but participation is not mandatory.  We offer a range of support, including didactic groups, acupuncture and massage therapies.  Given client consent, we consult with their personal therapists or medical professionals, with or without a 12 Step bent, and offer medicinally assisted detoxification. We work with most insurance companies and several long and short term treatment centers and assist clients with selecting post-detoxification treatment or developing support systems to aid in their recovery.
